CM Bommai said that trust us and invest in the state
The ``Karnataka Global Investors Conference'' organized by the state government under the concept of ``Build for the World'' started today (November 2).
In this conference which is going on for three days, famous businessmen of the world and representatives of various organizations are participating, and an estimated cost of Rs 7 lakh crore. It is expected that investment will be made and approximately 3 lakh jobs will be created.
Governor Thawarchand Gehlot inaugurated the program of this convention in Bangalore. CM Basavaraja Bommai, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani, IT-BT Minister Ashwath Narayan, Minister MTB Nagaraj, Mysore royalty Pramoda Devi were present.
Speaking at an investor conference held at the palace premises here, he said Karnataka is the first state to hold an investor conference after Covid. More than 7 lakh crore will be invested in the state. 13 thousand crores of tax has been collected in the state after covid. He said that the state is ahead in GST collection and is at the 2nd position in the country.
Karnataka has simple business policies. Semiconductor, R&D rules for growth. IIT, IIM, DRDO are in the state. 5 to 10 thousand engineers come to Bangalore to work in R&D field. The CM said that research and development from human genetics to space is being done in the state.
Along with entrepreneurs, people's welfare is also important. In this regard employment policy is in force. He assured that if job creation is done more, they will get more benefits and infrastructure problems will be solved. In this regard, he invited them to come and invest in Karnataka.
Not to disappoint entrepreneurs in the state. This is evidenced by the fact that the companies established here are expanding their scope of operations. We believe in our people. Our government will continue to exist. The CM expressed confidence that the next global investor conference will be held in January 2025.
